A city I will never get bored of. It has a good mix of historical and modern buildings, which dates all the way back to the 17th century to modern skyscrappers. If you are travelling light and do not plan on carrying an umbrella around, do get a coat / jacket / down jacket, etc with a hood. It's gloomy and rains all the time (mostly drizzles - both heavy and light). Hence, the song "A foggy day, in London town" by Michael Buble! Haha.

The many independent artisan coffee shops have led to the strong coffee culture in London. Just walk into any one in town and more likely than not, it'll be good. Food in London is good too, Asian food especially! Believe it or not, the best dim sum we had so far was in London! Popular restaurants in London are exceptionally packed, some queue goes as long as 1.5 to 2 hours. Please please do your research first to check if a restaurant allows reservation, otherwise, be prepared for the long queue or avoid peak meal hours.
